The Belgique Passion principle?

  • Are you a farmer, winegrower, brewer, farmer, artisan, restaurateur of local products?
  • You can accommodate 1 to 3 motorhomes on your property, without special equipment
  • Motorhome owners can stop over for one night and up to 24 hours at your place
  • You exclusively welcome motorhome owners who are members of Belgique Passion

Rules

Reception is free. If compensation is requested, you will be considered “tourist accommodation”, which requires specific authorizations and facilities. Parking will be exclusively reserved for motorhome owners who are members of Belgique Passion, supportive visitors, lovers of short circuits, gourmets and curious about your professions. They stop at your place to park but above all to discover your products and participate in the activities that you can offer.

Beyond these thresholds, you could be considered “tourist camping-caravan sites”. Such exploitation is subject to authorization, which may be restrictive in agricultural zones.

Reception is occasional. Welcoming motorhomes on a regular basis may involve the obligation to obtain planning and/or environmental permits from your municipality.

The use of names such as “farm campsite” or “tourist campsite” is regulated by the General Commission for Tourism (“CGT”). Sanctions are provided for in the event of an infraction.

If you are planning work to accommodate camper vans, an environmental and planning permit may be necessary. Obtaining these permits is subject to strict conditions. You have to be careful about it.
